iPhone 4S to be launch on 25th Nov in Indian markets by Airtel and Aircel. Both of the companies already revealed their store prices for iPhone 4S. Aircel plans to launch this most awaited smartphone in the mid night of 24th this month.

Airtel reveals his Data plans for iPhone 4S. These plans offer free texting local or international, free local minutes as well 3G data usage.

Here is a good news and another bad one for Indian Apple product lovers. Apple reveals prices for iPhone 4S for Indian markets. Airtel and Aircel are official partners to sell iPhone 4S in India. Both seller open their prices start from Rs. 44,500 for 16GB model. As always Apple sell their products premium priced or we can say over priced. In a country like India where a software engineer get 20K-30K monthly salary, these products are highly priced.

Samsung says Apple’s $8bn Yearly Spend Stopped it Pursuing Patent Fees

Apple spend nearly $8BN a year on Samsung parts and manufacturing. What’s the betting that negotiations to reduce this weren’t going to well. I think this lawsuit is just another negotiating tool… “knock 10% off what we already pay, and we’ll make the lawsuit go away” sort of thing.

As part of its legal battle with smartphone and tablet rival Apple, Samsung reiterated its desire to seek a global sales ban on the upcoming iPhone 5, also admitting that it did not pursue patent licensing fees from the Cupertino-based company because of its huge investment in Samsung components, it was revealed on Wednesday.

It appears that Apple’s partnership with Samsung to manufacture its processors, fabricate its display panels and provide Flash and DRAM memory kept the Korean electronics giant from pursuing patent licensing fees on its wireless patents, technologies that the company has filed a lawsuit to protect in The Netherlands.

Yonhap News reports that Samsung could “throw down the gauntlet” over Apple’s new iPhone, which is expected to be unveiled on October 4, according to a senior vice president who wished to remain anonymous, adding “it is true that Apple was free-riding on our mobile technologies.”

So far, Samsung has not asked Apple for licensing fees on the mobile patents in question because Apple contributes some 10 trillion won in revenues for Samsung every year.

Apple May No Longer Sell The iPod Classic and Shuffle

Reports continue to surface that Apple will discontinue the iPod classic after an impressive 10-year run, while the iPod shuffle is also expected to get the ax as the company moves toward a multi-touch lineup for its iconic portable media players.

According to a TUAW report, there is a source sharing information that Apple may no longer be manufacturing the iPod classic and shuffle as early as this year. This could make way for a full on push of the iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone as the core Apple mobile products.

Last week, Wedge Partners analyst Brian Blair also predicted that Apple would discontinue the iPod classic. He also expects a modest update to the iPod touch, which may include an improved camera, a white model, and 3G data capability. AppleInsider was first to report this summer that Apple would release a white iPod touch model with few changes.The iPod classic was the last hard-drive based iPod, and seeing it go is a final transition to flash-based memory.

The shuffle was really popular with runners and cyclists because of its smaller form factor and screen-less design, as well as younger consumers because of the price-point.The shuffle also has been applauded for bringing a whole new generation into the Apple stable of products. Because of their rainbow of colors, they were attractive to teens as an accessory and not just a music device. Now we’re just left with the nano.

This is also the last of the iPod devices to not have a screen, so clearly Apple wants anyone and everyone using an Apple device to have access to the app store.

Apple Is Selling 16 iPhone 4S Units Per Second,The Fastest Selling Gadget Ever

After selling 4 million iPhone 4S units in 3 days since the launch, Apple has hit the mark with selling 16 iPhones per second or roughly 1,000 per minute. With these numbers, the iPhone 4S is actually on its track to be the fastest selling gadget ever.

These numbers are twice as big as the numbers of iPhone 4 units sold on release day last year. This success is most likely helped by a few factors such as the availability of the iPhone on many more carriers this time around, including Verizon and Sprint in the US.

With 4 million iPhone 4S units in 3 days, Apple can get that number in two weeks.

Apple’s iPhone 4S showed a great success for some reasons. First of, I would say because of Siri voice assistant. This feature called Siri has really changed the world and everyone wants it now on their old devices.

In ten days from now these numbers will get another boost because Apple will launch the iPhone 4S in 22 other countries on October 28th including: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Other things that the iPhone 4S comes for the first time as a world phone on AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint. More networks and options mean more customers!

Unlocked Apple iPhone 4S Coming to U.S in November

This morning’s iPhone 4S preorder meltdown on Apple’s online store, the company quietly announced that an unlocked version of the device is coming next month.

Beneath the options to get the iPhone 4S on either AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon, the company teased that users can also wait until November to get an unlocked and contract-free version of the device. Apple has announced that the unlocked iPhone 4S will only become available in November, despite being ready to order in the UK from today.”The unlocked iPhone works only on supported GSM networks, such as AT&T in the U.S.,” Apple says in its description. “When you travel internationally, you can also use a micro-SIM card from a local GSM carrier. The unlocked iPhone 4 will not work with CDMA carriers such as Verizon Wireless or Sprint.”

Apple began offering a similar unlocked version of the iPhone 4 in June, though made no mention of such an offering during Tuesday’s unveiling.

In other countries, Apple has started taking preorders for unlocked iPhone 4S phones now. In the U.K., the phones cost 499 pounds for 16GB models, 599 pounds for 32GB, and 699 pounds for 64GB. In France and Germany, those three models cost 629 euros, 739 euros, and 849 euros, respectively.

If you were planning on using your unlocked iPhone 4S to roam when you travel, it might be a little more difficult than you expected. Apple has noted explicitly in its terms and conditions that users will have to specify their band when they register the phone.

iPhone 5 Event Will Be In Cupertino

iPhone 5 event on Oct. 4 will take place at the company’s Cupertino campus, not in San Francisco where all the previous iPhones and iPads have been announced.

According to sources close to the company,” the world’s first look at the newest iPhones will be at Apple’s Town Hall Auditorium, rather than the customary Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA) or as part of Macworld or WWDC at San Francisco’sMoscone Center.

The reasons for such a change in venue are merely speculative. All Things Dspeculates that perhaps the new Apple CEO Tim Cook doesn’t care for the cavernous YBCA, instead opting for a more familiar, smaller and intimate venue closer to home. Maybe the Wi-Fi or cellular data bandwidth is more reliable on the Cupertino campus, allowing Apple to better demonstrate its wares and us media types to more effectively broadcast our still photos and live blogs of the event.

With the new leadership of CEO Cook, there are bound to be some changes in the Apple way of introducing products. For instance, we can fantasize about a live streaming video feed of the event, not superseding any of the live and sometimes entertaining comments from various bloggers, but enhancing them with a live visual record for all to see.

One thing’s for sure: Apple’s fabled secrecy remains intact, assuring billions of dollars’ worth of free publicity leading up to the event.

Sony Ericsson CEO: We Should Have Taken The iPhone More Seriously

Sony Ericsson, a joint venture between Japanese consumer electronics maker Sony and Swedish telecommunications equipment maker Ericsson, has been on the mobile phone scene for about a decade. The company has mostly concentrated on delivering high-end phones to the European and Asian markets. But it’s never had a strong presence in the U.S., which has helped keep its overall market share in the bottom half of major handset providers.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Sony Ericsson President and CEO Bert Nordberg made a number of interesting statements about the iPhone, Android, Windows Phone and Motorola.

Defending the decision to pick Android as the choice operating system for its mobile handsets, Nordberg posits that it was ‘the best choice they could have made’ considering its rapid growth, but also acknowledges that the company “should have taken the iPhone more seriously when it arrived in 2007″.

The phone, which is based on Google’s latest Android software and was introduced tonight at Sony Ericsson’s press conference, will become its flagship smartphone in the U.S. market. To generate buzz ahead of the launch, Sony Ericsson ran an advertisement during the broadcast of the Super Bowl. And according to Nordberg, it worked.

HTC’s videos touting its Radar WP7 handset are sleep-inducing

Now that the HTC Radar is out, named, and spec’d, it was only logical that the company would release a few teaser videos to tout the phone before its October launch. These videos serve to fire up the fans of the mobile line, gauge reaction to the hardware, and possibly get the word out to the non-hardcore types. In theory, at least.

However, the videos that HTC put out for its Radar phone are more than weak, they provoke the feeling that someone must have left half their budget on the cutting room floor. Even more, their slow pace, corny on-screen effects, and annoying voice over completely dull the effect that the information delivered might have had.

On an only informational level, the videos suffice. But in every other category they are beyond a letdown. Sorry, Windows Phone fans, your phones are still not as cool as the iPhone. Blame marketing.
