HTC One 64GB developer edition priced at $649

Last month HTC announced the developer edition of the HTC One, is now available for pre-orders which was priced at $649. Unlike the standard HTC One sold in the US, the developer edition would come only in 64GB capacity, will be carrier unlocked and will have an unlocked bootloader, a must of you plan on installing custom ROMs.

Now, HTC has confirmed that the developer edition of the One will go on sale in the US starting April 19. Starting April 5, you will also be able to pre-order the device from HTC’s website to get it in your hands at the earliest.

The HTC One Developer Edition will run on the 2G/3G/4G/LTE bands of AT&T. HSPA+ support is available for 850/1900/2100 MHz which leaves out the 1700MHz used at T-Mobile for such signals. On the other hand, some of the carrier’s markets were refarmed to 1900MHz so there should be connectivity in those areas. And with LTE support for the phone at 700/850/AWS/1900 MHz, T-Mobile’s use of AWS for LTE should allow the carrier to support such use of the HTC One Developer Edition.

Unfortunately, the developer edition of the HTC One will only be sold in the US.
