Sony Xperia ZL

Sony Introduced Xperia ZL officially at its CES 2013 event, the 5-inch Android Jelly Bean handset bears nigh identical specs to its larger, more “premium” big brother: the Xperia Z. Even though the Xperia Z may have captured our hearts at CES, the Xperia ZL does deserve some attention, too.

The Xperia ZL  equipped with a scratch-resistant 1080p TFT Reality Display powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro, 2GB of RAM and LTE support and 13-megapixel rear camera with Exmor RS sensor, the ZL sits comfortably in the high-end range.

The Xperia ZL is as good-looking as the Xperia Z, Instead of a tempered glass body, the Xperia ZL has a matte metallic finish. With 5.18 x 2.74 x 0.38 inches, it comes in as shorter than the Xperia Z. The Xperia ZL also carries a bit more weight than its counterpart Xperia Z at 151 grams, but it’s a difference you won’t really notice until you also have the Z in your hand.

The Xperia ZL equipped with a non-removable 2,370mAh battery, giving it a slight more power boost over the 2,330mAh cell allocated to the Xperia Z. As for storage, internally it packs 16GB of memory ,also there is a microSD slot that’s hidden under an admittedly flimsy flap around back (the same place you’ll find the micro-SIM). Of course the “stamina mode” present in ZL as in Z to increae tha battery standby time.

The Xperia ZL supports NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and LTE, as well as UMTS / HSPA+ and GSM. As LTE isn’t yet widespread overseas, expect to see a few variants hit the market.
