Sony Xperia Z

Sony Xperia Z, is a high range smartphone multimedia monster that looks certain to attract the right kind of attention. The Sony Xperia Z packs a 5″ screen and it’s hardly a shocker that it’s not the most compact of devices, with a 1.5GHz quad core Qualcomm processor and runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

The Sony Xperia Z measures 139 x 71 x 7.9 mm and weighs 146g and with a very large 5″ 1920 x 1080 pixel full HD display, enhanced with Sony’s BRAVIA technology with a scratch-resistant coating, its pixel density is probably beyond what the human eye can perceive.

The Sony Xperia Z has a 13MP camera with Exmor RS sensor and LED flash are flush with the surrounding surface, which we like. There’s also a 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera, capable of 1080p HD video recording.

Inside The Sony Xperia Z  is a 1.5GHz quad core Qualcomm processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of flash storage, which can be expand with a microSD card. The The Sony Xperia Z will launch with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean with Sony’s latest customizations on top. The S4 Pro chipset and the latest Android OS will ensure smooth operation of the interface. There’s a relatively large 2330 mAh battery good for over 20 days of standby with LTE on and up to 14 hours of talk-time on 3G.

One unusual feature of the Xperia Z is that it is dust and water resistant to IP55 and IP57 standards, and it can even survive being immersed in water for up to 30 minutes (assuming all the ports are closed). Another unusual enhancement is STAMINA mode, which can improve the battery life through more aggressive application management when the display is off. A so-called STAMINA mode turns off data when you turn off the phone. If you want some apps to stay connected even with the screen off (e.g. an IM app), you can add them to the STAMINA white list. Sony promises a 4x increase in battery life with precise estimates of how long the remaining battery charge will last you (it learns from your usage patterns).

The Xperia Z supports WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS plus GLONASS positioning systems and HDMI output via an MHL port. The only significant feature that seems to be missing is wireless charging.the Xperia Z has the usual WALKMAN enhancements, built-in NFC capabilities.
