Amazon Kindle Paperwhite

Amazon has now come with the Kindle Paperwhite with a side-lit E-Ink display. World’s most advanced e-reader – higher resolution, higher contrast touchscreen with built-in light and 8-week battery life, The Paperwhite competes with the Barnes & Noble Nook Simple Touch with GlowLightand it uses a somewhat similar technology to provide lighting to a display that’s useless when you’re trying to read in dim light or the dark.

The Paperwhite is a eBook reader with 6″ display that supports Amazon’s AZW and MOBI formats as well as PDFs. It weighs less than 8 ounces and is very thin. Kindle Paperwhite E-Ink readers are single-purpose roots and there’s no music player or Audible book support here. Also there’s no speaker and no headphone

Paperwhite display offers 62% more pixels, and renders exceptionally sharp, clear text and images. Kindle Paperwhite’s screen has 25% higher contrast. Crisp, dark text against a brilliant white background makes for the perfect read. Paperwhite guides light towards the display from above instead of projecting it out at your eyes like back-lit displays, thereby reducing screen fatigue. You can adjust your screen’s brightness to create a perfect reading experience in all lighting conditions, from bright sunlight to bedtime reading.
