HCL MyEdu & U1 Tab Launched in India

HCL Infosystems Ltd launched two new tablets in India. Both of these devices, HCL MyEdu and HCL ME U1 are Android based devices.

HCL U1 tablet is powered with the latest Android 4.o, Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and equipped with 17 local ready to use applications. This 7-inch 800 x 480 capacitive screen device is powered by a 1GHz processor, a front facing camera and 512 MB RAM. You get 4GB of internal memory and a slot for up to a 32GB microSD card. It also sports a full USB, mini USB and a micro SD card slot. is competitively priced at Rs.7,999.

Other features, include a 3600mAh battery and an option of 3G data connectivity through USB modem. The tablet also enables exclusive access to the ME App store, which has over 10000 applications capturing the latest Android apps.

HCL MyEdu: This is the premium version of U1 tablet. This device was made in keeping mind the needs of college student and business man. Students can self-evaluate their skills and knowledge, while parents will now be able to monitor their child’s progress in an easy and convenient manner. The price for the MyEduTab– K12 Version is Rs.11,499, which includes the price of the device, content and a memory card, while educational applications and NCERT books will be free.
