Curve 9220 ‘Most Affordable’ BlackBerry Launched in India

There is a good news for BlackBerry fans in India. RIM, company behind BlackBerry launched its most affordable phone, Curve 9220 in Indian market. BlackBerry Curve 9220 has the latest version of BlackBerry 7.1 OS. Phone has 2.44-inches QVGA display and four-row qwerty keyboard. Phone is powered by a 512 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM.

Black Curve 9220 is the first phone by RIM that has a FM radio receiver. For network connectivity this phone is equipped with Wi-Fi features but doesn’t support 3G connectivity. Phone also has Bluetooth and microSD card slot. A 2 mega pixel camera is also placed on back of the body.


Price for the phone is set to INR 10,990 only. This phone is thinner and sleeker to fit easily in your palm. Phone will be available in White, Black, teal blue and fuschia pink colours.

With the launch of this cheapest BlackBerry phone, RIM also give some apps to download worth INR 2500 for Curve 9220 users till June 30. Phone will become available on April 19 in all over India. Global release dates are not confirmed yet.
