Motorola Announces Defy+ Rugged Android Phone!!

Recently Samsung’s launch of its rugged Android smartphone, the Samsung Xcover. Samsung has announced a new rugged Android smartphone which has been named as the Galaxy XCover.  Rugged smartphones are big niche and attract a lot of users,  it is very sensible move  of Samsung to enter the market.

Subsequently, Motorola freshly announced a rugged Android smartphone dubbed as Motorola Defy+.

Motorola made its Defy+ Android smartphone official as the updated successor to the Defy. Though the Defy+ retains many of the specs and the exact hardware as the Defy, it does have a beefier 1 GHz processor, up from the original’s 800 MHz, and like the original the Defy+ will be ‘life proof’ as in you can throw water, dust, dirt, and the elements at the handset and it will still work. Though rugged, the Gingerbread-poewred Defy+ still maintains an attractive tuxedo black and white trim that at first glance wouldn’t reveal its more hardy roots. Also improved is the battery, which is now larger and will stretch out your talk and surf time between recharges.

Motorola decided that Defy+ will launched in Europe, Asia, and Latin America this fall. Motorola also revealed that The Defy+ won’t be headed to the U.S. .

Other specifications for the handset include: 3.7-inch touch screen display with 854×480 pixel resolution; 2GB internal storage; microSD card slot; and, a 5 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and autofocus. The storage capacity is further expandable up to 32 GB.
